Another childhood favorite of mine, Jurassic Park. I’ve been drawing dinosaurs for most of my life, and I never get tired of them. Jurassic Park really fueled my imagination. As a kid, I would draw endless scenarios and create my own stories. Now that my skills are a little sharper, and I have more tools at my disposal, I can get a bit more carried away.
For this piece, I wanted to re-create a scene from the film, that is brief, but always stayed in my mind. The scene is the part where Newman gets killed by the Dilophosaurus (Dilophosauri?). Funny part is these dinosaurs were actually a bit larger than they are portrayed in the film, and they also didn’t have the frill and spit venom, but artistic liberty at it’s finest, I suppose haha.
